The Legend of Axegun: Apocalypse
The end of the world has already happened, but one lumberjack who was out in the woods when it happened, now makes a last stand with their trusty axegun against evil.
Controls
- WASD - move
- Mouse - shoot/aim
Gameplay Hints
- Survive, collect souls to exchange for unknown power (I forgot / didn't have time to increase the upgrade costs over time, so enjoy discounted upgrades!—The Soul Merchant)
- The upgrades are random but correspond to the icon, coffee = health/speed, axe = melee damage, gun = shooting related stats. You can end up with something like a slow shooting rifle, a shotgun, or a minigun that shoots 6 bullets at a time very rapidly.
- 3 enemy types, spawn amounts scale but otherwise incomplete difficulty scaling
- I think there's a bug / forgotten value with the 3rd enemy that causes you to get swarmed like crazy past day 10. Let me know if you somehow survive longer than 10 days!
This is a jam game made in a couple days during Practice Jam #23. I joined very late, so I had to cut a lot of features and probably left some bugs. This is my 3rd jam game and 3rd attempt at making a game in general. If you're interested in seeing my history of jam games check them out here!
